Is E4 on.com

Channel 4

In a bold attempt to encourage young people to stop watching telly and get out and vote, Channel 4 organised a total switch off of its daily schedule of E4 on the day that the nation went to the polls in 2015.

On air, viewers were introduced to ‘Darren’ – the guy who works in the E4 control room who has ultimate responsibility for the ‘on’ and ‘off’ switch.

We were commissioned to create a brutally simplistic but all important information source to guide people through the day. From the moment polling stations opened their doors at 7am until they closed late in the evening, viewers were directed to a website called isE4on.com where E4 viewers could find out simply whether their favourite TV channel was on, or off.
